         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

August 21, 2010:  The second annual Gull Lake Classic Boat Show was held at the Bar Harbor Supper Club, just 15 miles from Gilbert Lodge. 

Paula is seen here inspecting Tusk, a V-12 driven speed boat.
The captain of Knooper Way, based on Gull Lake, hailed Mark and Paula to come over and visit his very nice 1962 Chris Craft.    
Ethyl-Ruth IV is a Hacker Craft from 1934.  It has a super charged V-16 Chrysler Miller engine.  Top speed is 73 miles per hour.  Very impressive.  

Luxury at its finest on this one.  It is amazing what you can do with money. 

This was more than a boat show.  Many antique cars were shown as well to the delight of visitors.

They even had face painting for kids.  Some weren't too sure this was a good idea.
