Saturday, November 27, 2010: Gilbert Lodge was abuzz with activity as Mark and Paula put up Christmas decorations. The 9-foot Grand Christmas Tree is just a part of it. Paula did most of the work. Mark put a Christmas light about 12 feet up in the lodge library and tested it three times. Then he turned it on after dark and, "poof" the light went out. OK, start over, get a ladder, get a light bulb, and replace the light. The work of a maintenance man never ends! |
Soon, Tower Climber Mark was at the 64 foot level of the
communications tower at the lodge making preparations to put up the Christmas
star. This is probably the third year for the star.
|
Ground Crew Paula can be seen way below in the center of the photo holding one of the light strings. |
After dark, the star shown brightly for all to see.
It should be up until first week in January. What's next for Mark and Paula? Well, stay tuned to this Web site to see the Dynamic Duo's next exciting adventure. You never know what they will be doing! |
Quote of the day: Decorating for Christmas is worth every minute of effort. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
