December 10, 2009:  Mark and Paula were out with Mark's mom June at the Prairie Bay Restaurant in Baxter for a great evening meal.

December 11, 2009:  Josie the cat is guarding the Christmas presents.

December 12, 2009:  Paula and her SCUBA diving friends went through Winter Wonderland in Brainerd and then stopped into Gilbert Lodge for some socializing.  Paula's laugh can be heard everywhere.  A fun time was had by all. 

December 13, 2009:  Chef Paula is in the Gilbert Lodge Galley baking Christmas cookies. 

Here they are, Almond Cocoanut Macaroon cookies hot out of the oven.  She also baked Ginger Snap cookies. 

The Grand Fireplace feels good on a cold winter evening.

December 15, 2009:  Just ten days before Christmas.  The temperature was 6 degrees below zero (38 degrees below freezing) in the morning.  Overnight wind chill was -30 degrees (62 degrees below freezing)  The temperature rose to 0 degrees (32 degrees below freezing) during the day.
