Friday, December 8, 2023: Mark and Paula headed to the Pavek Museum in St. Louis Park, a suburb of Minneapolis, MN. |
The museum is mostly about
broadcasting. Here, Paula is looking at the Minnesota Broadcasters' Hall
of Fame. |
One display from the 1950's teaches
people how to use a rotary dial on a telephone of the day. The equipment on the right is a weather radar, used by WCCO-TV starting in 1958. |
Nipper the dog is seen here listening
to his master's voice on a radio. |
Lots of interesting displays including
these microphones. |
Early television sets. |
Then there was this video tape
recorder. |
Mark & Paula with Chapter 17 of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. They met this day for their annual holiday party. This was just the beginning of a car trip for Mark and Paula totaling 3034-miles with 62 hours of driving time, ending December 23rd. |
Quote of the day: It is holiday time. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
