Sunday, August 16,
2020: Paula's second cousin Chuck Scott took Mark to see Brainerd from the air. The plane is a Cessna 172M from 1975. Chuck says he is only a little oler than that! |
The Mississippi River is brown at the
bottom of the photo. For perspective, most rivers are brown because they carry silt from land they flow through. Gilbert Lake (above) is blue because it is not a river. |
The former paper mill, now an
industrial center that generates electricity for Brainerd. |
Brainerd and Baxter, MN, as seen from
the east. |
A closer look at Brainerd. |
Downtwon Brainerd with the famous
concrete water tower on the left. |
Gilbert Lake again. |
Island Drive along Gilbert Lake. |
Gilbert Lodge with a dock and The
Minnow pontoon boat. |
A great pilot, Chuck has logged over 7000 hours of flying time. |
Quote of the day: A great look at Brainerd from the air. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
