Tuesday,
July 23, 2019:
Deep Diver Paula headed to
the Minnesota School of Diving
shop in Brainerd.
|
She decided this was a good day to SCUBA dive with friends.
First, the paperwork. |
Then it was off to the Mangan-Cloverleaf mine pit near Crosby, MN. The
roads are NOT maintained. |
Arriving at the dive site, everyone knew what to do in getting setup to dive. |
More paperwork, then dive shop owner Todd Matthias explained the site to everyone. |
They suited-up and headed out. |
Meanwhile, back on shore, Nick was cooking.....just the way Mark likes
it....well done! |
Divers started returning about an hour later, exhausted and happy. |
There was plenty of food to do around for the hungry crew. |
Double hamburgers are a favorite of some....less carbs! |
Nick was checking for Paula. She finally returned after an hour
and a quarter. She is good on air. |
She saw some fish too. Good sized Northern
Pike. |
Then it was time to brag about the size of the fish seen that day.
How big was it?? Mark says things look magnified underwater. |
Sunset was approaching. |
No, they are not sisters, just look-alikes. |
Sunset looked pretty good that day. |
Back in Brainerd, they unloaded their gear at the shop, which is near the famous concrete water tower. |
Quote of the day: It is fun to go on these adventures to see what divers do. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
