Mark and Paula attended 7 pm Christmas services at the
Park
United Methodist Church.

The organist started playing at 6:30 pm, filling the church with
haunting melodies of old Jerusalem and hope for the future.

The minister told the full-house crowd that there would be a "Men's
Spontaneous Choir."
He said it is a long-standing tradition, but church leadership has never
heard of it!
The men stood up and sang What Child is This? All this to the
delight of the women in the audience.

The service included two stories, which stretched it out to 1-1/2 hours.
Parishioners loved it.

There were many displays of lights in Brainerd that night.
