Tuesday, July 17, 2018:  The barnstorming fun continued at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.
Root beer floats were $1 and popcorn was just 5 cents per bag, as it was back in the 1920s.

Lots of rides were given that day in vintage open-cockpit planes by American Barnstormers.

Then Ford owners showed up in their vintage cars.

This young lady decided she wanted to drive a car.  Hmmmm.
Mark said, "Give women the right to vote and then they'll want to drive a car!  What is this world coming to?"

A stunt pilot put on a show for the crowd while trailing smoke.

He finally landed trailing smoke.

Yes, he was the master of the sky for a while that afternoon.

Then two military jets appeared in the sky.

The crowd was thrilled with a fly-by.  Loud too.

Quote of the day:    Always fun to see airplanes.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
