The annual Wings of the North
Air Expo event was held at Flying Cloud Airport in Eagan, MN. A thousand people came to see airplanes, especially WWII planes, fly on that sunny day. |

Air Corps Aviation in Bemidji, MN. |
Owners and pilots of proud
of their airplanes including this
Vought F4U-4 Corsair fighter. |

was a U.S. Navy Black Cat PBY Catalina flying boat pilot in WWII.
His book is Conflict to Combat. (right photo) Jim Rasmussen was a navigator aboard a U.S. Army Air Force B-17 bomber over Europe in WWII. There aren't may of those guys left. |
