Thursday, June 14, 2018:  Mark and Paula headed back to London, England, to see Westminster Abbey.
It has been the British coronation church since 1066 and is the resting place for 17 monarchs.

Plenty of statues and carvings on the building.

Paula was told that no photographs of the church sanctuary were allowed, but other areas are OK.

The abbey is a huge structure, which makes people feel small.

It is quite a place for the common man.

Then it was off to the streets and tubes of London.  Hmmm...can Sherlock Holmes be just around the corner?

Londoners know how to handle rain.  British men have a certain look.

Observations:  It appears that about one-quarter of the cars there were Japanese rice rockets.  One half were European and about one-quarter were Kimchi burners from Korea.  Then, a few Fords and very few General Motors cars.

Quote of the day:    We had very little rain on this trip.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
