Thursday, June 14, 2018:
Mark
and Paula headed back to
London, England, to see
Westminster Abbey. It has been the British coronation church since 1066 and is the resting place for 17 monarchs. |
Plenty of statues and
carvings on the building. |
Paula was told that no
photographs of the church sanctuary were allowed, but other areas are OK. |
The abbey is a huge
structure, which makes people feel small. |
It is quite a place for
the common man. |
Then it was off to the
streets and tubes of London. Hmmm...can
Sherlock
Holmes be just around the corner? |
Londoners know how to handle rain. British men have a certain look. |
Observations: It appears that about one-quarter of the cars there were Japanese rice rockets. One half were European and about one-quarter were Kimchi burners from Korea. Then, a few Fords and very few General Motors cars. |
Quote of the day: We had very little rain on this trip. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
