Wednesday, June 13, 2018:  Paul and Teresa Hirst along, with Mark and Paula, drove through the English countryside.
Hmmm...Robin Hood and his band of outlaws could be lurking here!

They stopped at Stratford Upon Avon.  English literature tells us there is something important about this town.

That's right, this home is the birthplace of famous poet, playwright and actor William Shakespeare (1562-1616).

Like many English towns, it has lush gardens and musicians to fill the area with sound.

The streets are lined with century's old homes and businesses.

Sweet-tooth Paula was discovered in a candy shop purchasing toffee and licorice.
She  and the young sales clerk had red hair and big smiles in common.

Quote of the day:    There is a lot to see in England.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
