Tower
Bridge stands proudly over the River Thames, as it has since 1894. Cruise boats go underneath. The bridge raises to let large boats and ships through. |

The bridge was
run by coal-fired steam boilers. |

The steam ran
these engines until they were replaced recently with more modern
technology. |
