Tuesday, June 5, 2018:
Paula inquired
directions from the door man at St. Ermin's Hotel. A very British looking
chap. |
With his advice, it
was off to
Kensington Palace, once home of
Queen
Victoria and
Princess Diana. |
The gardens are huge
and make people look small. |
The palace interior is
very ornate. |
After all, it has been
the home of kings and queens. William III and Mary II, among others. |
The royal bed chamber. They must have been small people as the bed
isn't even king size. |
There is old world mixed with Diana of more recent times. |
Queen Victoria's crown and jewels. Paula looked at the jewels, then looked at Mark, then looked at the jewels and then looked at Mark again!! Is there some new jewelry for Paula soon?? |
The lawn out front leads to a pond. |
People often feed birds there, which are very tame and enjoy the royal treatment. |
Quote of the day: The royals lead a different life. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
