Members of the
Brainerd Veterans
of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary were bringing flags out of storage for
the event. |

|
Veterans were
at Memorial Gardens, north of Brainerd along Highway 3, to plant flags. |

|
Meanwhile,
workers at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd were busy getting the grounds
ready for Memorial Day |

People were out
decorating graves. |

 |

The Cub Scouts
and Boy Scouts arrived to install and salute flags. |

This determined
young man is serious about our country's flag....the symbol of our
country. |

Yes, people were
out visiting and decorating graves at cemeteries, then walking hand-in-hand at
the end of the day. Memorial Day ceremonies run from 8:30 am to 11 am, then lunch at the American Legion. The Schedule |
