Thursday, January 25, 2018:
There
they were, dozens of skis lined up at the
Northland Arboretum.
Let's investigate. |

Lots of
high school cross-country ski course participants gathered from around the
state. |
 |
|
It was
get ready, get set...... |
 |
|
And they
are off!!! |
 |
|
The
leaders were seen coming into the first hair-pin turn. |
 |
|
Then
they were around the turn and off again. |
 |
 |
|
Lots of
concentration and effort. |
 |
|
They
just kept working at it. |
 |
|
Just keep going, don't stop! |
 |
|
Uphill
as well. Not an easy task. |
 |
|
This was
was a test of endurance. |
 |
|
Then
they came into the finish line....5.5 kilometers (3.4 miles) and 15 plus minutes
later. |
 |
|
They
kept coming. |
 |
|
One fell
flat on his face. Ouch! |
 |
|
The Brainerd team was happy in the end . The boys won the conference title
and the girls came in third. |
