Saturday, September 10, 2016:  The Northern Tin Street Rod Association annual gathering was held in Brainerd.
At least fifty cars from around the state were shown at Gregory Park.

Judges were checking cars for a contest they held.  They were very particular.

Nice paint jobs.

This one came from California.

Interesting colors.  They were definitely not that color when they left the factory seventy or more years ago.

This truck had a beautifully done engine.

Better than new, this one has a Ford gas pedal.

A 1930s Chevy is equipped with no less than three carburetors.  Bright paint too.

Some of the attendees arrived on this 1930s bus.  Nicely restored.

There was this lady who looked like a mobster's girlfriend.

Then it was time to wave goodbye.

They paraded down a street.

The weather was perfect that day.

Yes, this guy was in his glory.

Quote of the day:    They love their cars.   Mark    < Back to previous story Ahead to next story >
