Saturday,
February 26, 2016:
It was the annual Frozen Flop on Gull Lake, near Brainerd, MN. Getting there from Hole In The Day Drive was a bit tricky over glare ice. Some drove out on the ice, but Mark and Paula chose to walk. |
Lots of interesting people showed up
for the event. |
|
Teams raised money for charity by
diving into the almost frozen water of Gull Lake where a large hole had
been cut in the ice. |
|
But it's cold in there!!!!
Should we do this? YESSSSS!!!! |
|
It was individuals and groups like
these cowboys who wanted to show they had the guts to do it too. |
|
Even hippies, left over from the
1960s, tried it. Splash!!! |
|
Even good friends managed to smile
after getting wet. |
There seemed to be no end to those who wanted to jump
into the icy water. |
A charity check for $5000 went to the Confidence Learning Center. A fun time was had by all. |
Quote of the day: All this fun was for charity. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
