         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, February 26, 2016: 

It was the annual Frozen Flop on Gull Lake, near Brainerd, MN.

Getting there from Hole In The Day Drive was a bit tricky over glare ice. 

Some drove out on the ice, but Mark and Paula chose to walk.
Lots of interesting people showed up for the event.
 
Teams raised money for charity by diving into the almost frozen water of Gull Lake where a large hole had been cut in the ice.
 
But it's cold in there!!!!   Should we do this?  YESSSSS!!!!
 
It was individuals and groups like these cowboys who wanted to show they had the guts to do it too.
 
Even hippies, left over from the 1960s, tried it.  Splash!!!
 
Even good friends managed to smile after getting wet.
 
There seemed to be no end to those who wanted to jump into the icy water.
 
A charity check for $5000 went to the Confidence Learning Center.  A fun time was had by all.
