         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Friday, January 15, 2016:  Mark and Paula continued driving north through Oklahoma where oil wells are a common sight.  Birds were out flying around that day too. 
 
They kept seeing these signs.  So, Mystery Diners Mark and Paula headed there to see what it was like in Des Moines, Iowa.
 
Hmmm...this place is frequented by locals.  That is a positive sign.
 
A shark hangs from the ceiling while Elvis Presley is remembered on a wall.  How many people today under the age of 35 know who Elvis was?
 

 
Joe's knows how to serve crab and shrimp.  Which tastes best?  Well, both are terrific.
The Dynamic Duo of Mark and Paula Persons returned to Brainerd on January 16th after their two week road trip to San Antonio, Texas.  That 3236 mile journey took them to many interesting points along the way.  They arrived in Brainerd where the overnight temperature was 2 degrees below zero with a 40 below zero wind chill.  A stark contrast to temperatures in the 60s at Texas.  Welcome back! 

One more item off the bucket list.
