Sunday,
January 10, 2016:
Sunrise over San Antonio, Texas. The city
awakens. |
Then it was off to the
Natural Bridge
Caverns for an underground tour. |
Huge underground caverns.
You can see people in the photo if you look carefully. |
Nicely lit stalagmites....about 25 feet tall. |
Then the Duo stopped at the
Mission
San Jose. Yes, they were "deep in the heart of Texas" where
Spanish missions with churches were the population centers. |
Spanish Catholic monks came to this new world to convert natives to
modern civilization with mixed results. |
Nice architecture on the back side of the mission. |
Mark and Paula headed to the
Market Square that
night for genuine Mexican food.
Refried beans and everything. The whole enchilada! Minnesotans don't normally eat like that. |
There's another sign post up ahead. What does this mean? |
Quote of the day: Tex-Mex is a whole new diet for me. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
