         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Tuesday, December 8, 2015: 

It was Discover SCUBA night at the Minnesota School of Diving in Brainerd.
Bill Mathies helped students with equipment they would need that night.
 
Yes, it was an hour of classroom instruction by Master Diver Kelly Mankowski. 
 
Deep Diver Paula was watching additional instruction at the Brainerd High School Swimming pool.  Hoses need to be connected properly to the tanks of air.
 
Then it was in the water for more instruction.
 
Paula, in blue, was saying, "We have to get this right before you go down."
 
Then.....there they were....underwater and loving it.  The one on the left is Amanda Alvarenga, an exchange student from Brazil.
 
Then it was up to see how everyone was doing before going down again.
 
Most caught on quickly to how all this works.
 
Then it was into underwater antics.  They just had too much fun.
 
More topside before going down again.
 
Finally it was OK....by all seven students and two dive instructors.
 
Mark took Discover SCUBA a few years back and learned a lot.

He decided that SCUBA diving was for Paula.

He would stay on dry land instead.
