Deep Diver Paula invited
her SCUBA diving buddies over for a party. Four more came later.
This is an annual event where the crew meets, sees Winter Wonderland, and then back to the Lodge. |
Yes, there was a smoked white fish on a plate that the divers
loved. Seeing and eating fish is their thing. |
Then there were the dive stories about how big the
fish were that they saw. |
Some of the stories are true! |
Plenty of great conversation about life and
diving. |
Ladies like to get together to talk...sometimes
about men! |
Then it was discovered that three of them had
pedometers to track their walking mileage every day. It is a trend
today. |
Josh is a U.S. Marine, Iraq War veteran, and a
great guy. |
Chef Paula made pizza from scratch.
A real treat. |
One pizza was well baked. Mark remembered
why he learned to eat well done food. It was when his mother and
father would enjoy a cocktail before dinner. One drink led to
another and dinner was well done by the time it was served! |
Yes, there were Gold Fish Cheddar
Crackers to munch on. A BIG hit with the SCUBA divers that night.
The Grand Fireplace did well too with wood from the Gilbert Lodge estate. |
Then it was story time. Mark, with an elf
hat, read Twas The Night Before Christmas. Everyone loved it. |

Louise to the hoots and hollers of the audience.
That one is not repeatable in a family setting. |
