         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Thursday, October 1, 2015:  Mark visited the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College to observe what kind of training young people are getting in preparation for a manufacturing career.  Programming robots to do human chores is a part of that.
 
Then it was off to Stern Manufacturing to see manufacturing in progress.  This young man was inspecting a rubber part that had just been formed in a machine at high temperature.
The Staples Campus of CLC teaches welding by automation.
Some difficult jobs are left to people.

Manufacturing jobs in the United States keep money here rather than sending it to foreign countries.

This student is very proud of that.
The eagle was welded in one of the classes.

Very creative and well done.
This robot was programmed to pour a soft drink and then serve it to mere humans.
