         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, September 16, 2015: 

It was the annual Chili Cook-Off, a charity event to help the United Way. 

Held at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd/Baxter, it drew a hungry crowd looking for a chili lunch.

The theme this year was Super Heroes. 

Chili of all kinds was served by 30 or more organizations.
 
Which one is the best?  A tough question.
 
Some were scary and some were friendly on-air personalities like Ken and Tess from WJJY Radio on the right.
 
Some chili was "flaming hot."  Hmmm...is that Wendy in disguise?
 
Some had costumes that made them look skinnier than they really were.  A few were were bigger with costumes.
Everyone enjoyed sampling the chili. 
 
Batman and company were there.  A secret revealed, it appears Superman drinks Pepsi to get the strength to fly through the air!
 
Super heroes can be adults or a bit younger.
