         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, April 4, 2015:  The Annual Easter Egg Hunt was held at Lum Park in Brainerd.  It is a Brainerd Parks and Recreation event, but manpower and money are donated by the Brainerd Noon Rotary Club.  They were aided by Granite City Jobbing.
 
About 30 Rotarians and helpers filled some 600 bags with candy. 
 
Paula is in charge of getting all of this to happen each year.  She caught some of the guys eating donuts!
 
Foreign exchange students distributed thousands of eggs on the grounds for youngsters to find and return.
 
Meanwhile, the Easter Bunny showed up to be photographed with hundreds of young ones.  It is a great tradition.
Before each annual appearance, the Easter Bunny watches the Disney movie Hop. 
 
Even royalty showed up to be seen with the bunny.  Everyone wanted a bunny hug.
 
About 1500 showed up for the event. 

It is the largest number of people for any event of this type in the city.
Youngsters spread out to eagerly collect the plastic eggs. 
 
Each had to bring back just one color of egg and deposit them near the starting point.
 
Each one received a bag of candy from Brainerd Noon Rotary.  Happy kids.
 
Then the Easter Bunny was off to visit shut-ins and nursing homes.  The bunny was a real hit that day.
