It was the 75th anniversary of Dairy Queen and they were handing out free cones.  The store on Washington Street at the east side of the Mississippi River was jammed with cars and people in spite of 35 degree temperatures. 

Paula worked at the DQ in Brainerd when she was in high school (she won't say how many years ago) and handed out dairy treats from this very window.  Now she is on the receiving side of the window.
