More from Disney's Magic Kingdom. A parade was scheduled, but wasn't there yet. Paula took the opportunity to get a Mickey Mouse ice cream cone. Meanwhile a professional photographer was doing her thing. |
Soon the parade was coming downtown. The band was playing and flags were waving |
Very colorful parade entries including the mermaid. The dancers looked good too. |
|
Beauty
and the Beast found their way to the parade. A number of young ladies did too. |
|
Watch it Peter
Pan, Captain Hook is here! You can never be too careful around pirates. |
|
Yes, the Disney parade is a real
pageant. They do it right. |
All this parade excitement made Mark
and Paula hungry. They stopped at the Liberty Tree Tavern. This place is reminiscent of 1776, some 239 years ago. The staff looked like it too! |
Mark and Paula ate like presidents.
Actually, it was the Pilgrim' Feast.
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Deliciousness. Great food including Johnny Appleseed's Cake. |
Out front of the Liberty Tavern is an
exact replica of our nation's Liberty Bell. Yes, it is complete with a crack. The bell is just across the street from the Hall of Presidents. |
Yes, the place lit up as the
sun went down. |
The castle looked even more colorful in
near-darkness. |
Downtown came alive with people in the evening
hours. |
The castle is often lit with blue light after
dark. A very nice touch. |
Then it was back to the
Disney Contemporary Hotel. Breakfast in the morning will likely be a Mickey Waffle. From there, the Dynamic Duo heads back to cold Brainerd, MN. |
Quote of the day: Disney is a magic place. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
