         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Tuesday, January 20, 2015:  It is amazing how many people get up before sunrise to go out and see the horizon just before sunrise.
People are often spellbound looking off to the distance.
In this case, there are a few boats out there at the horizon.  Passengers aboard are probably enjoying this too.
 
The world is awakening.
 
Paula enjoyed breakfast with her friends the Blues Brothers.
They had a great time looking at license plates from all over.
 
Leave it to Paula to find a 'hole-in-the-wall" like this.

It is a candy and novelty shop for people 55 and older.

You can find things you haven't seen since childhood. 

Popeye and Cowboy brand bandages.

Gold Mine and lucky Lights candy cigarettes.

Paula remembers them well.
Then it was off to the beach.  Paula may have been a fish in a former life.  She loves the water.
 
Mark liked the food at the Casablanca. 

It reminded him of a movie with Humphrey Bogart.

The place looked like it was from the 1930s too.
Mark and Paula stayed at the B Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

It was built in the 1950s to look like a ship and was named the Yankee Clipper.

Nicely renovated since then, it is a classy place.
