         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
 
Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2014: 

A deer showed up in the yard looking like one of the animals at the stable where Jesus was born.

It seemed perfectly content and safe....as it should be.
 
Chef Paula made a turkey using her special hand rub.

It looks dark, but the flavor is just right.

There were onions and such on the inside.

The dressing was cooked separately.
 
Paula cooked her famous squash too.

Butter permeates the squash to make it a "melt in the mouth" experience.
 
On the table with gravy, rolls, cranberries, green beans creamed with almonds, and white wine, it was just right for the occasion.

Good going, Paula!
 
The Christmas Star shown brightly that night at Gilbert Lodge.

A fitting end to a joyous day.
 
Paula and Mark wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
