Wednesday,
November 26, 2014: Thanksgiving is just a day away and Chef Paula is busy in the Gilbert Lodge Galley preparing turkey dressing. She makes it from scratch on HER stovetop, not from a box. This is a bit labor-intensive, but the results are worth the effort. |

Paula puts many ingredients together including
celery,
onion,
sausage,
walnuts, sage, and a number of special
spices. Yes, the dressing is always a hit at Thanksgiving. |

Finally the dressing was mixed together and put
in a refrigerator overnight.
It will be heated in a roaster on Thanksgiving day, just before Thanksgiving dinner. Stay tuned to this exciting blog to see how it all goes at the Dave and Jean Schaeffer place where the Thanksgiving feast will be held. |
