Saturday,
November 1, 2014:
Sunrise that morning was very colorful at 8 AM. |
Birds were heading south for the winter. Gosh, I wonder what they know that we don't know? |
Shortly thereafter, Paula was taking logs to the wood splitter
in temperatures just above freezing. The splitter did a marvelous job of making small pieces of wood from large logs. Less than half of the logs to be split are shown here. |
Mark handled the splitter most of the time with
his insulated work gloves while Paula stacked the split wood.. |
In the end, there was plenty of split and stacked wood for the
Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge this winter. Mark was wondering why someone has not invented a cap to keep sunlight out of his eyes! |
Story of the day: A cap with a bill is an "IQ adjuster." The further off front and center the bill is, the lower the IQ of the person wearing it! |
Quote of the day: Yes, I could use a cap to keep the sun out of my eyes. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
