Sunday, November 17, 2013: 

Chef Paula was busy in the Gilbert Lodge Galley cutting celery, carrots, and much more.

What was she up to?

 

Hmmm...she added red wine to the vegetables on the stove.

Chef Paula cooks with wine and she even puts some in the food at times.

This must be one of those times.

Then tomatoes and pumpkin were added.  What was she up to?
 

WOW!  Cumin.  That will add an African or Mediterranean taste to this creation.

It turned out to be Pumpkin Black Bean Soup.

A very interesting and strong distinctive flavor.
