         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Wednesday, November 13, 2013:  A cold day.  Overnight temperatures plummeted into the teens and Gilbert Lake froze over.
 
There was some wind which froze water up a few inches around objects like this tree branch as it froze in place. 
 
Ice was clear enough so these leaves and braches could be seen just under the surface. 
They will be "frozen in time" until the ice melts in the spring.
