Monday September 2, 2013:
Mark and Paula attended the
Minnesota Renaissance
Festival. A fun place to see interesting people from the middle ages. |
There was even a parade of colorful people. Nicely done costumes |
Plenty of singing. You can do that too. Fire breathing? Don't try that at home! |
Lots of music. You can never hear too much music. |
Imagine that...a chess board of gigantic proportions. Check Mate! |
More music to make the day go well. Traveling minstrels? |
Lots of dancing too.
Beware of these two! A spell might be cast upon you! |
Some came in their own costumes. Some wore little in the way of costumes. |
It was Mark's chance to meet a mermaid. Paula reminded him that she is a scuba diver, which qualifies her as a mermaid. |
These two riddle tellers are well known at the festival. Don't try to outwit them! |
Then it was time for characters of Mark and Paula.
Nelson Brown from Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, did the drawing. You can see how it turned out when the Persons' Christmas card is online in December. |
Quote of the day: The Renaissance Festival is defiantly on our list every two years. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
