Saturday, August 10, 2013: Mark and Paula traveled to Park Rapids, Minnesota, for a local gathering. Can you imagine chopping a log between your feet with a super-sharp axe? |
Even lumberjills got in the act cutting with swede
saws. They were aided by WD-40 to make the saw go faster. See, WD-40 has uses everywhere. |
They even had
Alpacas from the Scott and Linda Elmore ranch at Backus,
Minnesota. Learn more at:
http://alpacanation.com Paula couldn't help but pet an alpaca. She is sometimes referred to as an "animal whisperer." |
A local archer was showing everyone how to shoot
an arrow. It looked easy enough. |
Mark decided to try his luck. Not bad...for an amateur! |
Ever fire a cap and ball pistol from 200 years
ago? Watch it Paula, those things are dangerous! |
There was some creative face painting going on
along with animal peting. A great family event. |
Quote of the day: Always good to get out and see people having fun. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
