         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Sunday, May 26, 2013:  

There was a pre-Memorial Day gathering for the public at Cragun's Resort and Hotel on Gull Lake, near Brainerd.

Resort owner Dutch Cragun is a U.S. Army veteran.
 
The Brainerd High School Band was there for a parade.
 
Many waved flags were waved as as the procession went by.

It is good to see that young people are involved nowadays.

Even Miss Central Lakes Teen and Miss Brainerd were there along with others.
 
Army Colonel Lowell Kruse was there to tell the gathering that it is, "Vital to the soul of our nation to reflect on what our country's soldiers have done for us."
 
These soldiers were on hand to help tell the story about sacrifice and freedom.

Cragun's offered free golfing to veterans along with many other activities.
