Monday,
May 27, 2013: Memorial Day events are coordinated in
Brainerd by the Memorial Day Committee, a group of about 20 volunteers who work
together making it all happen year after year for 60 years.
Even Dustin Stark of Baxter, a Tenderfoot in Boy Scout in Troop 36, and his
brother Brandon, a Tiger in Pack 36, helped....along with other scouts.
The flags were given by the U.S. government to relatives of military who
died. They were in turn donated to
Evergreen Cemetery by families and
there are name plates on the fence indicating who they were from. A nice
touch.
