Sunday, December 9, 2012:

Winter finally arrived with snow that will stay. 

It was three inches overnight and snow continued to fall during the day.

A blanket of fine snow laid among the pines and on the branches.

Mark and Paula are always hoping to be snowed in...at least for a few days.
Chickadee and other bird types visit the bird feeder on the lakeside of Gilbert Lodge even when it is snowing.

Veterinarian Paula keeps it well stocked with seed.

Josie the cat likes watching birds too.

Colorful scenes late in the afternoon near sunset.

Winter is definitely here with temperatures below freezing day and night.
