Wednesday, August 22, 2012:  Housekeeper Paula discovered a 2 inch diameter woodpecker has been pecking/drilling into the exterior of Gilbert Lodge.  The stucco finish, sometime called EFIS is a layer of foam with a concrete finish.  Very durable, but not to a determined woodpecker.

Here is some of the evidence on one of the support pillars.

Paula isn't the least bit happy about this.
