         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons
Saturday, December 31, 2011:  Mark and Paula attended a Minnesota Gopher hockey game at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.  The game was between Minnesota and Northeastern from Boston. 
The game started out a bit slow in the first period with no score on either side.  Then it picked up in the second quarter with plenty of action when Minnesota scored the first goal.  Northeastern soon came back with two more goals to lead Minnesota. 
All of that excitement made Paula hungry so she had to get a hot dog. 
The Zambonis came out to resurface the ice between every period.  Nice work. 
The cheering section was worth seeing. 
Action was quite intense in the third period when Minnesota staged a comeback to score one more goal.
In the end, Minnesota was still one goal short of a tie.  Better luck next time.
