Monday, November 21, 2011: Large paths appeared on Gilbert Lake. Some said it was from cracks in the new ice that let water come up to the top and thus melting nearby snow. Mark thought it looked like canals on the planet Mars. Hmmm...Martians looking at Gilbert Lake might think this looks like home. Yikes, this may be a time to be worried! |
Later in the day Mark came back to earth
to attend a "55 Alive" driving class. He is seen here with
Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Curt Mouers, on the left, demonstrating
how he writes a traffic ticket. Oops!...and they are both smiling! When first arriving, Mark asked if this was the, "James Bond School of Driving" class. Well, it wasn't! Mark was also wondering if he should smile or frown when having the photo taken for his driver's license. An officer stopping him might think the photo doesn't match. The class was a very good refresher on defensive driving. It also saved Mark 10% on his auto insurance. |
Quote of the day: You can never be too careful on the highway...especially if a trooper is watching. Mark | < Back to previous story | Ahead to next story > |
