Thursday, November 3, 2011:  Four deer were spotted on the lake side of Gilbert Lodge in the morning.  They blended in well with fall colors well.

Yes, the hunters will be out soon.  Mark and Paula do not hunt.

Later that day, one of many Burlington Northern trains was seen going through Brainerd hauling coal from North Dakota to a power plant in central Minnesota.  It reminded Mark and Paula of the Unstoppable movie about a runaway train.  A real chair-gripper, it is a real action film.

That night, Mark's mom June joined Mark and Paula for dinner at the Lodge Grill and Bar in Baxter.  They had great food and good conversation.
