         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

October 29, 2011:  Deep Diver Paula was out at the pits near Crosby, Minnesota, with the Minnesota School of Diving for the annual underwater pumpkin diving contest.  She and others carved their pumpkins underwater while SCUBA diving.  That is no easy task with the pumpkins and tools wanting to float away at every chance. 

Paula's pumpkin/gourd, Yoda of Star Wars fame, won the "most innovative" award. 

One of the pumpkins that Paula experimented with before the dive.  This one looks like a diver with mask and air regulator.
