Monday, June 6, 2011:  On this day, we remember the D-Day landing in Europe in 1944.  This is the 67th anniversary of the June 6th "Great Crusade."  Some 24,000 allied troops went ashore in France to retake the continent from the Nazi regime in WWII.  It was the beginning of the end for Adolph Hitler and his dream for world domination. 

We thank military veterans and those who died in that bloody conflict for their service to our country and to the world.
