Look, there's that signpost AGAIN!  Where is the Dynamic Duo might be headed this time?  Will it be to danger?

Answer:  The Badlands of South Dakota are known for having poisonous snakes during the summer months.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011:  Mark and Paula headed to the Badlands National Park near Wall, South Dakota where the scenery was spectacular.

The road winds down into the valley and around the beautiful rock formations.

The scenery seems to go on forever.

You wouldn't want to be stranded out there.

These formations are shrinking about one inch per year due to national erosion.  Better get there soon so you don't miss it.

Paula "Shutterbug" Persons was there taking photos too.  Her finished art is available exclusively at the Gilbert Lodge Gift Shop.
