The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

June 9, 2010:  Paula found a car at the Bar Harbor Supper Club that she liked.  It is a customized 1930's model that looks like it is fun to ride in.  Right up her line!

Where were the dynamic duo headed this day?  It looks like they landed at Pequot Lakes, MN, where the water tower is appointed like a fishing bobber.

Paula showed Babe the Blue Ox her GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) receiver in an effort to get directions to a hunt for Geo-Cache treasure on the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway.

That's it...she found one!  It was a card and written log inside a waterproof container hidden in the woods.  Those who find one, with their GPS receivers, let others know they have been there by leaving their names along with the time and date they were there.  A fun sport.

Soon, they were off to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fire tower lookout located between Pequot lakes and Breezy Point, MN.  Looking up, Mark decided to climb the 150 foot structure and Paula stayed on the ground where it is safe.

At the top, Mark held his GPS unit out the window to figure out where he was.

Looking down was a thrill.

The view back toward Pequot lakes was a good one too.
