April 30, 2010:  Mark and Paula stayed at the South Pier Inn on the south side of the Aerial Bridge in Duluth, MN.  The inn is a great place to see ships passing under the bridge.

May 2, 2010: Sunrise over Lake Superior as seen through the ship canal at the Aerial Bridge.  Sunrise that day was 5:52 AM, but was obscured by a cloud bank so this photo was taken at 6:12 AM.

The St. Clair came into the Duluth harbor shortly after sunrise that day.

Just a short distance up the north shore of lake Superior, the sun highlighted waves as they crashed across rocks.

Quote of the day:  Duluth is a fun place to visit and photograph.  Mark
