February 27, 2010: Paula headed to a SCUBA diving show at the AmericInn Hotel in Mounds View, a suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. It was a natural for divers to go there because of the Mermaid American Grill. She learned the latest on wreck diving and about the latest equipment in the sport. |
Paula showed off 100 year old technology diving helmet. Nowadays SCUBA is a lot easier and more fun too. |
Mark headed to the Twin City Model Railroad Museum at Bandana Square. For over 75 years they have been building and showing model trains to the public. Great stuff. Click on the photo for a larger view. |
Trains opened with west in this country some 150 years ago. The name Empire Builder told the story of unbounded enthusiasm for America. Lead on! Click on the photo for a larger view. |
More trains in this huge facility, which is in two buildings. Click on the photo for a larger view. |
Some even blow smoke and make the cho-cho chuffing sound that is a trademark of steam locomotives of the past. |
Quote of the day: No man could pass up seeing model trains on a Saturday. Mark |
