This young lady brought her dog made up to look like a reindeer. 

Later, Paula stopped at the meat counter at Ingebretsen's Scandinavian gift store and meat market in south Minneapolis.  A year or more ago, Ingebretsen's was seen on the Bizarre Foods program hosted by Andrew Zimmer on the Travel Channel.  They still talk about it at Ingebretsen's.
