September 24, 2010:  The Annual Divefest, sponsored by the Minnesota School of Diving, was held near Crosby, MN, just 18 miles from Gilbert Lodge.

Scuba Leslie was a guest at Gilbert Lodge overnights during Divefest.  Leslie and Paula are what you call "Dive Buddies."

Leslie brought two wooden trees, shown on the left in the photo.  They were hand carved by John Thompson of Duluth, MN.  One is made of cherry burl and the other is apple.  Nicely done.

The smell of hot coffee filled the air as the two were getting ready for another day of diving.  Stay tuned for more on this story.
