         The life and times of Mark and Paula Persons

September 6, 2010:  Mark and Paula visited the Minneapolis Farmer's Market on Labor Day morning.  Farm grown food was everywhere to see and purchase.
There was even music to entertain shoppers.

The traffic on the way home to Brainerd was intense.  Most of the cars were headed south while Mark and Paula were headed north.  It was clear sailing ahead for the Dynamic Duo.      

Upon returning to Gilbert Lodge, Paula discovered two of her home-grown tomatoes were just right for picking.  She exclaimed, "These are the most beautiful tomatoes I have ever seen."   
After the long holiday weekend, the first fire of the season was lit in the Grand Fireplace at Gilbert Lodge.  Cheese, crackers, and wine....who could ask for more?  The cheese came from Grassland Dairy at the farmers market earlier in the day.
